AmiKit Live Update by Daniel 'Deniil' Westerberg
The Live Update feature is implemented into AmiKit 1.2.0 and higher versions. It ensures your AmiKit installation is always up to date. It checks the AmiKit server for new available updates each time the AmiKit is started. To disable this feature, you can remove the tool from AmiKit:WBStartup drawer - however this is not recommended.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The first start of AmiKit after updating will take much longer because the updated files need to be extracted during the startup. Check the disk activity and DO NOT turn off the AmiKit before it boots to desktop.

AMIKIT LIVE UPDATE DOES NOT SUBMIT ANY INFORMATION TO INTERNET! YOUR PRIVACY IS GUARANTEED.
There are two types of new update packages - automatic and manual:
- if the automatic live update package is found, the program offers you a possibility to download and install it automatically. If more updates are found, all of them will be downloaded and installed (until the manual update package is reached). Meanwhile, you can read the change logs.
NOTE that a reboot is required to install the downloaded packages. Therefore the first reboot of AmiKit could take longer than usual (especially if there are more packages installing).
- if the manual update package is found, the program informs you that you have to visit the AmiKit home page to download and install the package manually - from PC side. This kind of update packages is only necessary in those cases when the update process cannot be done from the Amiga side completely, for example when the PC files need to be updated like WinUAE.exe, AmiKit.exe, etc.
TIP: If you cannot use the Live Update feature to get the latest updates, you can always download and install them manually. For more information please refer here.
or you can order the latest Live Update packages on AmiKit CD!
